I still enjoy the cherry trees and not in the stereotypical zen-like sense – but simply because I am able to claim the experience as my own. Last year I went to Korea and Japan, and I had the pleasure of a real Sakura experience – it was not slow and Zen-like – it was noisy, smelly and like a real festival. People camping, drinking, eating and enjoying themselves.
This coming weekend Copenhagen has it’s own little Sakura festival at Langelinie, and I will be reading sunday the 26th. between 11.30 and 12.30 on the 2nd. plateau. Please come by and listen to haiku poetry and enjoy a very lovely festival.
