Back from Ireland

The 37th biennial EVA “Still (the) Barbarians” in Limerick City, Ireland is now open and I encurage you who are in Ireland to go and see it.

Curator Koyo Kouoh draw a very strong and obvious line between Ireland as a colony and the strong representation of the exhibition’s postcolonial theme. I modestly added a corner of the postcolonial structures seen through the concept of transnational adoption in the performance “Re-enacting the Transnational Adoptee”.

Working so much on a performance – this was an amazing fullfillment- thanks to the audience that came – some of them twice. Thank you Ireland and Koyo for framing my performance in a perfect setting artistic and thematical.
